Thinking Of You Week

September 20th-26th is Thinking Of You Week!

An international movement, Thinking Of You Week is dedicated to sending and receiving greeting cards and hand-written notes. First launched in the UK in 2014, Thinking Of You Week was created to create a broad awareness on the positive impact a greeting card can have on the recipient. A greeting card creates a meaningful connection, especially when it’s an unexpected delivery.

In a time of texting, ecards, and social media, nothing beats the magic of writing a card and waiting for your recipient to receive it. Brought to the U.S. by The Greeting Card Association in 2018, and with the support of the U.S. Postal Service, over 500 million residences across the country see the Thinking of You postmark on first class mail during the whole month of September.

With the lingering events of 2020, many people send notes to their loved ones as a more personal way of keeping in touch. Receiving a card in the mail makes people’s eyes light up, smile widen, and stomach flutter with butterflies. It’s no wonder we’ve resorted back to sending mail!

What does Thinking Of You mean to you? Is it missing someone who you haven’t been able to see due to the pandemic? Maybe it’s a restaurant that went above and beyond for your birthday that you can’t stop thinking about? Perhaps it’s a friend who just got a job promotion? A family member going through a tough time? No matter what the reason may be, it makes people feel special knowing that you were thinking of them.

Help The Greeting Card Shop create a wave of happiness. Let all of those special people in your life know how much they mean to you!

Send a card. Deliver a smile.
