Tax Exemption Eligibility

Who is Eligible?

A school or non-profit organization may be eligible to make tax-exempt purchases.

How to Qualify for Tax-exempt status regarding your Purchases:

  • Schools and other entities may qualify for tax exempt purchases.
  • You may qualify, if you are a qualified non-profit organization with a designated 501(c) (3) status from the Internal Revenue Service.
    • Such organizations include corporations, trusts, community chests, Limited Liability Corporations, and unincorporated associations. The overwhelming majority of 501(c) (3) organizations are nonprofit corporations.
  • will assist you in setting up a separate account for your organization's purchases. This account will be separate and distinct from any account for personal use, whereby your purchases will not be exempt from tax.
  • A "tax exemption certificate" form, issued by the state in which your school or nonprofit organization is based. This form can be obtained from that state's tax department.
  • Send us the completed and signed certificate.
